Hagiwara Sakutaro Prize

The Hagiwara Sakutarō Prize ( Japanese 萩 原 朔 太郎 賞 , Hagiwara-Sakutarō-Shō ) is a literary prize for contemporary poetry , which has been awarded annually since 1993 by the city of Maebashi in memory of the poet Hagiwara Sakutarō, who was born there, in collaboration with the Shinchōsha publishing house and under Participation of the Towa-Bank is awarded. The winner will receive a bronze bust of the poet Hagiwara Sakutarō and prize money of 1 million yen.
