Iketani Shinzaburō Prize
The Iketani Shinzaburō Prize ( Japanese 池 谷 信 三郎 賞 , Iketani Shinzaburō shō ) was awarded by the publishing house Bungei Shunjūsha in memory of the Japanese writer and playwright Iketani Shinzaburō , who died at the age of 33 . The publishing house was founded by Kikuchi Kan , who in addition to the Iketani Shinzaburō Prize also brought the Noma Literature Prize into being. The prize was awarded for literary works ( 創作 ), reviews ( 文 芸 評論 ) and poetry ( 詩 ). The award was given to debutants whose work showed a new aspect or style in art and poetry.
