The Chūōkōron Shinjin Shō ( Japanese 中央 公論 新人 賞 , dt. "Chūōkōron Young Talent Award") has been awarded to young writers by the Chūōkōron Shinsha publishing house since 1965. When the publishing house set up the Tanizaki Jun'ichirō Prize in 1965 , the awarding of the young talent prize was discontinued for 10 years and only revived in 1975.
