Hiroshi Sakagami

Hiroshi Sakagami ( Japanese 坂 上 弘 , Sakagami Hiroshi ; born February 13, 1936 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese writer.

Sakagami was nominated for the Akutagawa Prize with his first work, and in 1959 he received the Chūōkōron Young Talent Prize for Aru aki no dekigoto . He then studied formal logic at Keiō University in Tokyo, but stayed with his literary activity. He wrote novels and stories for which he u. a. the 1991 Yomiuri Literature Prize ( Yasashii teihakuchi ), the 1992 Noma Literature Prize ( Denen fukei ) and the 1997 Kawabata Yasunari Literature Prize ( Daidokoro ). In 2004 he was awarded the Japanese Order of Culture for his work .
