Tang Aidi

Emperor Ai von Tang ( Chinese  唐 哀帝 , Pinyin Táng Āi Dì ), birth name Lǐ Zhù ( Chinese  李 祝 , * 892 ; † 908 ), was the last emperor of the Chinese Tang dynasty .

He came to the throne at the age of 13 after the regent Zhu Wen murdered his father Zhaozong . After three years of shadow rule, the regent deposed the emperor in a coup d'état and proclaimed the (Later) Liang Dynasty , which began the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Empires . Li Zhu, the last Tang emperor, was demoted to prince of Jiyin. A year later, Zhu Wen had him poisoned because he feared his claim to power.
