The Tano North Municipal District is a district in Ghana . It is located in the center of Ghana in the Ahafo region . It borders the districts of Tano South and Asutifi in the Ahafo region, Sunyani Municipal in the Bono region and the districts Offinso and Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti region . The district's chief executive is Nicolas Anane Adjei .

The Tano North District was only formed by a presidential decree of November 12, 2003 in 2004 through division. The former Tano District was divided into Tano North and Tano South .

Constituencies

A constituency of the same name has been set up in the Tano North district. Here Ernest Abobuor Debrah won the seat in the Ghanaian parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the parliamentary elections in 2004.
