Tap (dance step)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tap ( engl. "Easy) knock (" or "thump") denotes a accentuated step in which the foot is placed unloaded while dancing.

So that it is similar to the present-day folk dance occurring dabs ride . This technique comes from Afro-American dance styles, from which the group of tap dancing (Engl. Tap dance ), including the Irish Dance heard originated. It is also used in salsa and in the Fox disco . This tap is mainly found in the Cuban style of salsa and is used on the fourth beat of a measure, i.e. the beat that normally provides a break is followed by tapping. This accentuates the rhythm.
