Tarpėda Mahiljou

The FK Tarpėda Mahiljou ( Belarusian ФК Тарпэда Магілёў , Russian ФК Торпедо Могилёв / FK Torpedo Mogiljow ) is a former football club from the Belarusian city of Mahiljou . The club, which was dissolved in 2005, played for ten years in the Wyschejschaja Liha , the country's top division, and was in the 1995 final of the Belarusian Cup . He played his home games in the 3500-seat Tarpėda Stadium .

history

The association was founded in 1959 as Metallurg Mogiljow , from 1962 to 1963 it was called Kirowiec Mogiljow , then again Metallurg and from 1979 Torpedo Moguilew or Tarpėda Mahiljou. After he was previously active in the Belarusian league within the Soviet Union , he was one of the founding members of the Wyschejschaja Liha in 1992 after Belarus gained independence. There he achieved his best placement in the first season with rank 7. In 1995, Tarpėda Mahiljou was in the final of the Belarusian Cup , which the team lost on penalties 6: 7 against Dinamo-93 Minsk after it had been 1: 1 after regular time and extra time.

From 1996 the club was called Tarpėda-Kadina Mahiljou , in the 2000 season he rose after nine years of first class from the Wyschejschaja Liha and played until 2005 in the second class Pershaya Liha . After the end of the 2005 season, the club was dissolved due to financial problems. The FK Savit Mahiljou was founded as a successor club .

Savit Mahiljou

The FK Savit Mahiljou started in 2006 in the third class Druhaya Liha , where he finished second and rose to the Pershaya Liha. There he was champion in the 2007 season and made it through to the highest league in the country. However, the team missed relegation in the 2008 season with 15th place, in the 2009 season the club no longer appeared in the Pershaya Liha.
