Youth and years of study

Motivated by her mother, Tatiana Bulanova began to occupy herself with music. She took piano lessons at the music school and played the guitar. After school, in 1987 Tatyana Bulanova began studying librarianship at the Leningrad Nadezhda Krupskaya Institute for Cultural Studies. After two years, however, she left the institute and took singing lessons.

Beginning of career

In December 1989 Tanja met Nikolaj Tagrin, who was the leader of the group “Letniy Sad” ( “Summer Garden” ). He suggested that she sing in his group. She accepted his proposal and later became his wife. The first song was recorded in 1990, it was called "Dewtschonka" ("The girl") . The first appearance was on April 16, 1990 on the stage of the auditorium of the technological institute and the first guest performances were in "Sosnoviy Bor" near Saint Petersburg . Popularity time and prices

1992–1994 the group "Letniy Sad" became very popular. 1994 was a very successful year, with over 200,000 MCs sold. In 1996 her solo concert "Mojo russkoe serdtze" ("My Russian Heart") took place in Moscow . She mainly sang lyrical songs, but in 1999 Bulanova decided to experiment a little and fundamentally changed her image. She started singing rock songs. This year her album "Staja" ("Swarm") was recorded with rock ballads. In 2000 Tanja worked with a fashion DJ. In the same year the CD "Moi son" ("My Dream") was released , which took all the top positions in the hit parades of Russian radio stations. Bulanova later worked with a young rock group called "Cardinal". 3 songs were recorded, 2 of which were the cover versions of the well-known groups " Rammstein " and " Wumpscut ". At the final concert “Pesnja Goda 2003” she received a memorable award from KISchulzhenko for her contribution to the development of the Soviet song. In 2004 she was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation". In 2007, after a long time without appearing on the big stage, her second solo concert "Lutscheje" ("Best Songs") took place in Moscow, in the Kremlin Palace.
