The Tour Garden pigeon house is a pigeon house in the Scottish town of Kilmaurs in the East Ayrshire council area . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

description

The building is located on the south-eastern edge of Kilmaurs opposite the cemetery, off the A735 . The building, erected in 1636, has an elongated floor plan. It ends with a symmetrical gable roof , the gables of which are worked as a stepped gable . The year of construction is indicated on the lintel. In some literature the year 1630 is also given, which the monument protection authorities describe as incorrect. During an inspection in the 1950s, the building was partially used as a storage room. In 1982 the condition of the pigeon house was described as good. The original nesting boxes were still present on three of the four side walls at this time.
