The Tause was a Swiss measure of volume for liquids and dry things.
- Liquids: 1 tause = ½ bucket = 2 quarters
- Dry goods: 1 thaw = 3 quarters
- Zurich , liquids: 1 tause = 25 to 30 measure
In Swabian the term Tause stands for a “can”.
