Taxa is a district of the municipality of Odelzhausen in the district of Dachau ( Bavaria ).

Taxa is located about one kilometer northeast of Odelzhausen an der Glonn and on the federal highway 8 .

history

The place where the Marien-Chapel, built in 1848, is now, used to be the seat of the Taxa monastery and the destination of many pilgrims. The formerly independent municipality Taxa was incorporated on April 1, 1971.

Attractions

  • Catholic Chapel of St. Maria: neo-Romanesque building from 1848; with equipment; on the site of the Taxa monastery.
  • Old Castle: four-wing complex, medieval core, expanded around 1720 and redesigned in Baroque style, in 1937 the main building in the east largely, the north wing partially demolished, the round, south-east corner tower (included in the new hotel building in 1963), the south and west wing, both three-story with Gable roof, as well as the ground floor rest of the north wing
  • St. Johannes Castle Chapel: built in 2003/2004 by the owner of the castle estate, Hans Eser.
