The Teatro Tenda was a multi-purpose hall in Bologna , Italy .
History
The arena was built in the 1970s and opened in 1980. The building, prepared as a theater , was located on Via Nazario Sauro 28 in Parco Nord, Bologna. The building had a capacity of more than 5,000 visitors and was mainly used as a venue for concert events. The arena also served as a congress building and for meetings. In 1986 the multi-purpose hall was demolished. The coffee house and restaurant "La Margherita" is now on the site. Frank Zappa , Eric Clapton , Def Leppard , U2 , Depeche Mode and Iron Maiden have performed here .
