Technical center (chemical industry)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the chemical industry, a technical center is the link between the laboratory and large-scale production .

description

A technical center is a test stand in which individual devices, machines or systems of devices, machines and auxiliary equipment or recipes and processes are tested under operating conditions. Technical centers are used to optimize the process parameters found in the laboratory in scaled-down systems for later production in large-scale systems. In addition, initial quantities can be produced there as samples for customers. The process parameters determined during the operation of the pilot plant are used for planning and designing the large-scale plant (“ scale-up ”).
