The Technical University of Tokyo ( Jap. 東京工科大学 , Tōkyō Kōka daigaku , Eng. Tokyo University of Technology , in short: TUT ) is a private university in Hachioji .

The college has its origins in Sōbi Gakuen ( 創 美 学園 ), founded in May 1947 by Kō Katayanagi, with departments for painting and tailoring. With the beginning of Japanese television in 1953, there was a shift to training in television technology. In 1986 he was appointed to the university with 3 faculties for electrical engineering, computer science and machine control.
