Technical Museum "Old Chair Factory"

The technical museum “Alte Stuhlfabrik” is a museum at Bahnhofstrasse 20–24 in Neuhausen / Erzgeb. It shows the production of seating furniture and the historical development of furniture . It is housed in a building of the former VEB Vereinigte Sitzmöbelindustrie. The first chair makers in Neuhausen and the surrounding area can be traced back to the 1840s; Between 1890 and 1990 alone, around 36 million chairs were produced.
