The Technopark Kerala is located in Thiruvananthapuram . It opened in 1991 and was the first such technopark in India . Its area is 780,000 m². Over 28,000 engineers currently work here.

History and mission

In July 1990 the government of Kerala implemented the concept of a technopark. The foundation stone for the first building was laid on March 31, 1991. In 2010 the park was responsible for approximately 70% of all software exports in the state of Kerala .

Infrastructure

Technopark Kerala aims to provide the necessary infrastructure for IT companies. There are more than 180 IT companies that are located in several buildings. There are about twelve buildings in total. In addition, Infosys Technologies , UST Global's own development centers are under construction. The sometimes largest building, Thejaswini, was inaugurated on February 22, 2007.
