The Tegha is a sword from India .
description
The Tegha has a heavy, curved blade. The blades are usually made with a back blade about 23 cm to 30 cm long, which runs from the place to the handle . The handle is mostly made of metal and in the same shape as the handle of the Talwar (cross- guard , pommel-like). Sometimes the booklet has the shape of the Khanda booklet. In contrast to the Talwar, the Tegha has a wider, more curved blade. There are versions that are simple, but also those that are decorated with silver or gold decorations ( koftgari ).
The tegha is likely of Hindu origin and was used by the Mughals , Marathas and Rajputs .
