Nick Evangelista
Nick Evangelista (born 1949 ) is an American fencing master , author, and editor .
Evangelista grew up in Burbank . In the 1970s he learned fencing in Hollywood from Ralph Faulkner , an Olympian and actor. He later taught fencing himself, including theater fencing at the University of California, Los Angeles and the San Diego Opera . In 2001 he earned a bachelor's degree in history from Southwest Missouri State University . Evangelista has been writing fencing books since 1995 and was the editor of Fencers Quarterly magazine from 1999 to 2006 .
