Parts library
Digital parts libraries are large collections of components used in businesses. Parts libraries are often used in conjunction with CAD systems, especially in design departments. Digital parts libraries are increasingly replacing printed product catalogs and are used for the administration ( parts management ) of construction parts and construction-relevant data.
Design-relevant data include:
- 3D CAD data
- 2D drawings
- Parts lists
- Documentation and specifications
- Norms and standards
- Specifications and specifications
- Requirement lists and quality certificates
- Test results and test reports
- Product structure information
- Manufacturer catalogs and product information
