Proof of use of parts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Proof of usage of parts is a term from the manufacturing industry.

While the parts lists structure the products analytically by describing which components the products are made up of, the usage lists determine which products contain the individual components. The products are synthetically classified in the usage lists.

Types

Similarly, to distinguish the BOM ( quantity overview BOM , BOMs , modular BOM ) can be distinguished the following basic types of parts used lists: Quantity overview use proof structure used list and kit using detection, while the complex bill falls outside this framework.

The where-used lists can also be derived from the (somewhat expanded) example listed under parts lists :

with P: product, B, C and D: assemblies, E1 and E2 individual parts, the individual forms of representation are as follows:

Quantity overview where-used list

Part no .: E1

position Part no. Quantity factor
01 D. 1
02 B. 4th
03 C. 1
04 P 7th

The where-used list of quantities shows the quantities in which a part is absolutely present in higher-level assemblies or products .

Structure where-used list

Auxiliary structure for E1:

                ++++++E1++++++
                + + + +
               1P 1D 3B 1C
                   + + +
                  1B 1P 2P
                   +
                  1P

Part no .: E1

Manufacturing stage Part no. Quantity factor
.1 P 1
.1 D. 1
..2 B. 1
... 3 P 1
.1 B. 3
..2 P 2
.1 C. 1
..2 P 3

The structure where-used list shows all higher-level uses for all parts list items in a continuous chain up to the product with its quantity.

Module usage proof

Part no .: E1

position Part no. Quantity factor
01 P 1
02 B. 3
03 C. 1
04 D. 1

The module where-used list shows which higher-level production stages a part is directly included in .

Use of parts in complex parts lists

In an extended complex parts list , all components are assigned to the product or an assembly using a Boolean expression. While the product structure is represented analytically here, the use of a component is described by Boolean expressions with regard to a 'set' of product or assembly variants. The use of a component, which is also referred to as a product validity, results directly from the Boolean expression.
