Teima Onorio

Teima Onorio (* 1963 ) is a Kiribati politician of the Boutokaan Te Koaua party . From 2003 to 2016, she was the Vice President of Kiribati . Onorio has also been a member of the Maneaba ni Maungatabu since 1998 and has held various ministerial posts since 2003, most recently from 2012 to 2016 as Minister of the Interior and Social Affairs.

Onorio attended the Victoria University of Wellington and the University of East Anglia . She is the daughter of the former President of Kiribati, Rota Onorio . Before her political career, Onorio worked as an English teacher.
