Ein Tekiyeh ( Persian تكيه) is a place where the Shiites gather to commemorate their martyr Al-Husain ibn 'Alī (called Hossein in Iran ); these ceremonies are called Ta'ziya .

You come across these sites especially in Iran . They are traditionally designed in Persian architecture.

It is estimated that Tehran in the Qajar had 50 Tekiyehs -Epoche.
