Telegraph officer

As Telegraf officials were referred to public servants which the operation of the telegraph stations guaranteed.

For entry into the civil service of telegraphy , the same conditions generally had to be met as for the postal service (see post office clerk ). In Germany , however, entry into the official posts intended exclusively for the technical telegraph service was, to a greater extent than at the post office, reserved for military personnel entitled to support.
