Teleperm M
TELEPERM M is the name for an electronic process control system that was developed by Siemens AG in the early 1980s . It enables the automation of continuous and discontinuous process engineering processes.
This process control system was characterized by its extremely robust and modular system. Up to 15,000 systems have been equipped with this system. Despite its old age, it is therefore still quite widespread. Since it is now becoming more and more difficult to obtain spare parts for the system components, some of which are 20 years old and no longer manufactured, more and more users are equipping their systems with more modern systems, such as B. the successor system SIMATIC PCS 7 , which appeared in 1997 , with which Teleperm M is becoming increasingly less important.

The OS262 / 265 is now ported to a PC-based platform under the SICOMP M26 Emulator M2000 .
A Teleperm interface was also developed for the WinCC operator control and monitoring system.
A system-independent communication interface for coupling higher-level control systems to Teleperm-M / ME systems was developed by Ako-Tec AG .
Bus system
In the beginning, Teleperm used the specially developed CS275 bus. CS275 is a bus with a gross data rate of 275 kBit that works according to the token passing method. The Teleperm plant bus was added later, a porting of the CS275 protocol for Profibus networks.
