Temple cashel
The roofless oratory Templecashel ( Irish Teampall an Chaisil ) is located in Ballynabloun on St Finan's Bay in County Kerry . It is one of about 20 boat-shaped ( English boat-shaped ) oratorios of iroschottischen Church in Ireland .
The best preserved example is the Gallarus Oratory on the Dingle Peninsula . As with most oratorios of this type, Ballynabloun has no roof. Over the years, these roofs tend to sag, which eventually leads to collapse. Like the oratory at Ballymorereagh , Templecashel stands on an artificial terrace . In comparison to other oratorios, longer stones have been used here.
