The Gallarus Oratory ( Irish Sáipéilín Ghallarais ) is an oratory of the Iroschottische Church in the west of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry in Ireland near the place Kilmalkedar , where there was a monastery in the 7th century. It is the best-preserved boat-shaped cantilever vault building on the island, built using drywall technology . Although the prayer house, which was built at the end of the 8th century, is one of the oldest early Christian churches , the construction and interior are based on older models. The side benches are very reminiscent of bank altars ( rock tomb of Molafa ). The almost square building measures 6.7 × 5.6 m (inside only 4.65 × 3.1 m) and is around 4.25 m high in the center. It has a straight lintel and a small arched window niche at the back. VR Tiede from Yale University claims to have found out that the window openings, which are always on the east side, are oriented towards the course of the sun and are aligned with March 17 and August 31. Nearby is a pillarstone on a low rectangular hill with the Ogham inscription: Colum Mac Dinet .

Other, sometimes even smaller, stone oratorios are:
