Tenacite

Tenacit or Tenacite (from French for tenacity) is a plastic. It is a rubber-free molding compound for electrical insulation purposes. It was mainly used in the 1920s and early 1930s in the manufacture of radio housings and handles for flashlights . The plastic material was invented and processed by AEG . Today this material is no longer in use and therefore the term has been forgotten.
