The 2017 tennis Bundesliga consisted of three leagues in which between seven and 10 teams each competed for the title of German team champion in the men's, women's and men's 30 teams. These were the 1st Bundesliga men , the 1st Bundesliga women and the 1st Bundesliga men 30 .

In addition, there were the men’s 2nd division and the women’s 2nd division as a direct substructure for women and men .

The tennis leagues in Germany are hosted and organized by the German Tennis Association based in Hamburg. In addition to the tennis rules of the ITF , the tournament regulations of the DTB and the Bundesliga statute are the basis for implementation .
