The first women's tennis league was held for the 19th time in 2017, with a total of seven teams starting. The newcomers were TK Blau-Weiss Aachen and TC Blau-Weiss Berlin from the 2nd Bundesliga North and TC Radolfzell from the 2nd Bundesliga South.

The defending champion Eckert Tennis Team Regensburg was the champion , while the two climbers TC Radolfzell and TC Blau-Weiss Berlin immediately relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga.
