Teodoras Medaiskis

Teodoras Medaiskis (born January 2, 1951 in Vilnius , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian economist and politician.

Life

After graduating from the Antanas Vienuolis Middle School in 1968 , he studied mathematics at the University of Vilnius (VU) in 1973 and on December 18, 1978 received his doctorate at the Research Institute at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in Moscow on the subject of “Tolygaus subalansuoto augimo modelio sudarymas ir panaudojimas respublikos ekonominės plėtros tyrimui (Lietuvos pavyzdžiu) ”. Since 1978 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Economics at VU. From 1993 to 1994 and from 2001 to 2008 he was an advisor in the Ministry of Social Affairs of Lithuania , from 1995 to 2000 director of VšĮ “Socialinės politikos grupė”, from 1992 to 1993 Minister of Social Affairs of Lithuania .
