Teodoro Schmidt is a village in South - Chile in the province of Cautín . It has 15,045 inhabitants and is 72 kilometers southwest of Temuco on the S60 . Neighboring communities are Barros Arana and Hualpin .

history

The community was founded on January 12, 1981. The name of the village comes from Teodoro Schmidt Quezada, an engineer of German origin who planned the railway line in 1936 . The line was completed in 1952. Coordinates: 39 ° 0 ′  S , 73 ° 5 ′  W
