Teresa Waugh
Lady Teresa Lorraine Waugh (born Teresa Lorraine Onslow ; born February 26, 1940 in Chelsea (London) ) is an English writer and translator .
Life
Teresa Onslow was born in 1940 to William Onslow, 6th Earl of Onslow, and his wife Pamela Dillon.
In 1961 she married Auberon Waugh , who was also a writer. The two have two sons and two daughters. After a few years in London, the family moved to the Combe Florey family estate after the death of Auberon's father, the writer Evelyn Waugh .
Teresa Waugh wrote Painting Water (1983), Waterloo Waterloo (1985), The Entertaining Book (together with Auberon Waugh, 1986), Intolerable Burden (1987), Song at Twilight (1989), The Gossips (1998), The House (2002) and A Long Hot Unholy Summer (2014). She also translated books from French and Italian into English.
