Terminology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The conversion of a common language expression into a technical term ( terminus technicus ) by means of a subject-specific definition is called terminologization .

Thus the legal doctrine differentiates between property and possession. The owner has a comprehensive right to rule over an object and the owner has actual power over an object.

In contrast, the term de-terminologization describes the transition of a technical term from a technical language to the common language. The process can take the form of a takeover or a readmission.

For example, the word " communication " was used in the common German language as early as the 16th century . In the last century, linguistics and the sociology of language adopted the term and defined it in their sense. In the meantime, the expression has again been taken over by the common language.
