Terry McBrayer

W. Terry McBrayer (born September 1, 1937 in Ironton , Ohio ) is an American lawyer and politician ( Democratic Party ).

Life

McBrayer grew up with two sisters in Greenup , Kentucky . He attended Greenup High School and studied at Morehead State University , where he received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in 1959 , and the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville , where he received a Bachelor of Laws (LL .B.) Received. That same year he was accepted into the Kentucky bar. McBrayer served as a lawyer in Greenup County from 1963 to 1975 . Today McBrayer is a senior partner in the law firm McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland .

McBrayer was politically active in the Democratic Party, for which he was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1966 to 1972 . During his time as a member of parliament, he acted as Speaker Pro Tempore and as the majority floor leader of his party. He was also chairman of the Democratic Party in Kentucky. In 2008, he took part in the Democratic National Convention as a super delegate .

McBrayer is a second married and has two children from his first marriage, a son and a daughter.
