The Žmuidzinavičius Museum in Kaunas , Lithuania is commonly known as the Devil Museum . It houses a collection of around 3,000 depictions of devils as sculptures or carvings, most of which are of a popular nature and come from all over the world.

history

The collection was founded by the painter Antanas Žmuidzinavičius (1876–1966) and then expanded through many individual donations. Of particular interest is a depiction of Hitler and Stalin as devils performing a dance of death in a playground strewn with human bones .

In 1966 the museum was established in Antanas Žmuidzinavičius' house from 1929, today it is in its own annex from 1982.
