Théâtre Saint-Denis
The Théâtre Saint-Denis is a theater in Montreal . It is located at 1594 Rue Saint-Denis in the Latin Quarter .
The building, erected in 1915, initially housed the city's largest cinema for several decades . In 1980 there was a realignment and specialization in the performing arts . Since then, musicals, plays, concerts and comedy programs have been staged in French and English. The theater is one of the main venues for the Juste pour rire comedy festival .
The building was completely renovated in 1998. It contains two halls, the Théâtre St-Denis 1 with 2218 seats and the Théâtre St-Denis 2 with 933 seats.
