The Adventures were a British alternative pop or rock band that existed from 1984 to 1993.

Career

The group was founded in London . They signed a record deal with Chrysalis Records and released their self-titled debut album The Adventures in 1984. An LP version with the same content, but under the title Theodore and Friends, was released especially for the US market .

However, this first record was not particularly successful. After four years they switched to Elektra Records . The album The Sea of ​​Love , published there in 1988, contained their biggest single hit Broken Land and many bombastic compositions with orchestral accompaniment , sometimes reminiscent of Jim Steinman .

After two more albums, the band broke up.
