The Baltic Times

The Baltic Times is an independent monthly newspaper founded in Riga in 1996 , which is also accessible on the Internet.

In the weekly there are analytical articles about the Baltic economy and reports on current events in politics, business and society in the Baltic States . The monthly magazine is published in English . Conductor Gene Zolotarev and chief editor Elizabeth Celms. There are branch offices in Tallinn , Vilnius and the main office in Riga . Reporters from all three Baltic republics work for the newspaper.

The newspaper emerged in 1996 from the merger of The Baltic Independent from Tallinn (founded in 1991 as The Estonian Independent ) and The Baltic Observer from Riga.
