The Books is a band that was founded in 2000 in New York City by the US American Nick Zammuto and the Dutch Paul de Jong . Their music is a mixture of aleatoric and acoustic music that moves between electronic and folk. You have released three albums on the German label Tomlab .

The Books also perform live. They play guitar and cello live while the electronic sound effects and synchronized videos are played.
