description

The four-story building with a loft is located on New Street in the center of Paisley. The construction of the Art Nouveau house began in 1900 and was completed the following year. As an architect, W. D. Lennan is responsible for the design. A restaurant is set up on the ground floor, while the upper floors are used as living space. The west-facing front is constructed asymmetrically. Two wide, flat, arched openings are set off with glazed bricks . Both openings contain the small-scale, colored window fronts of the two restaurants. The window frames are made of dark wood. In between is the entrance door to the living area. Slanted oriels protrude near the edges of the building . The left extends over two, the right over three floors. In between there is a semicircular bay window that ends with a conical roof .

The interior is designed in Art Nouveau style and has largely been preserved in its original state. There are dark or white lacquered woods built over large areas. Furthermore, there is an open fireplace designed with decorative tiles.
