The Corsairs was an American singing group from La Grange , North Carolina .
history
The three Uzzell brothers and their cousin George Wooten grew up together. They sang together at school and took part in various talent competitions under the name "The Gleems" . Their success was limited, however, until they were discovered and signed by a record company in the summer of 1961 .
They changed their name to The Corsairs and had a hit with their first single - it would remain the only one.
