The Course was a House -Act from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands , consisting of DJ and producer Vincent Hendriks and the singers Dewi Lopulalan and Irma Derb.
history
Hendriks and Lopulalan first met in 1990 at a DJ mixing championship in the Netherlands. When they met again in the same place in 1996, they decided to work together.
In late 1996 the group released their first single, "Ready or Not", a dance cover of the previous year's song by The Fugees . The song reached number 5 on the UK singles chart in April and became the band's first hit. The follow-up single "Ain't Nobody" was also successful and reached number 8 in July. Their third single, "Best Love", only reached number 51 in December and other singles did not reach any chart positions, which made The Course a " two-hit wonder ". After a lack of commercial success after the first two singles, the group finally split in the late 1990s.
