The Digital 9

The Digital 9 or D9 (formerly Digital 5 or Digital 7) is a collaborative network of leading global governments in e-government with the common goal of using digital technologies to improve the lives of citizens. Through international collaboration, D9 aims to find out how digital authorities can bring the greatest possible benefit to citizens. The members share in favor of digital practices, work together to solve common problems, identify improvements to digital services and to support the growing digital economy. The D9 embodies a minilateral engagement in which small groups of states work together on specific issues with a global impact.

Members

Estonia , Israel , New Zealand , South Korea and the United Kingdom are the founding members of D5. In February 2018 Canada and Uruguay joined the group for the D7. In November 2018, Mexico and Portugal merged to form the D9.
