The Dogma are a power metal - band from the Italian Ancona .

history

Cosimo Binetti (guitar), Daniele Santori (vocals) and Stefano Smeriglio (keyboard) met for the first time in 1999 and founded The Dogma a few years later .

At a friend's funeral, Cosimo Binetti met the singer Daniele Santori by chance, who was then working in the cemetery. Realizing that they were both musicians, they decided to do something together.

At the police station in Ancona, Cosimo met the keyboardist Stefano Smeriglio. With the drummer Giuseppe Chirico and bassist Steve Vawamas, an old friend of Binetti, the band became complete.

In 2001 the five band members formed The Dogma and played their first shows that same year. A year later, their first demo with the title Symphonies of Love and Hate appeared , which sold well via mail order, especially in Germany.

They got a record deal with Drakkar Entertainment and went to the Woodhouse Studio in Hagen in the summer of 2005 to record their first album Black Roses , which was produced by Siggi Bemm. Immediately before the first day of recording, drummer Marco Bianchella seriously injured his knee in a car accident, whereupon Mike Terrana was brought in as a replacement. The first album was released in March 2006.

Steve Vawamas left the band shortly afterwards and The Dogma appeared in 2006 with Masso as the new bassist in Germany , Italy , Austria and Switzerland as the opening act for Lordi . In December, the recordings for the new album A Good Day to Die , which was released on April 27, 2007, began.
