The Dolphins

The Dolphins were an American quartet that can be attributed to fusion jazz . The group was formed in 1987 in New York . In addition to Mike DeMicco on guitar, Vinnie Martucci on keyboards and synthesizers and Rob Leon on bass, Dan Brubeck , a son of jazz legend Dave Brubeck, played drums .

The group released three albums in the 1990s and toured internationally. According to JazzTimes , The Dolphins created a "dynamic mix of jazz and rock rhythms ... combined with interesting harmonies and succinct melodies, all of which are created in exciting waves of sound."
