The Greatest Story Ever Told is an album of American punk rock - band The Lawrence Arms . It was on 23. September 2003 by the label Fat Wreck Chords released.

It is the band's fourth album and the second to be released on Fat Wreck Chords.

It is a concept album with a song-leading storyline with many references to previous songs. The title of the album alone refers directly to a film from 1965, The Greatest Story Ever Told , in which the life of Jesus is told.
