The Milepost is an English-language, annual publication. All major roads in northwest Canada and Alaska are described in great detail .

The condition of the road sections, construction sites, sights, motels etc. are listed with the respective miles or kilometers. The publication is considered the standard work for this region. It was first published in 1949 with a length of 72 pages. The 2004 edition comprises 768 pages on thin paper. It contains a lot of advertisements from gas stations, campsites and motels. The Milepost is published by the Morris Communications Company of Augusta , Georgia .
