The New Masonic Temple in St. Louis , Missouri is a monumental Masonic temple dating from the 1920s that is considered one of the landmarks of Midtown Saint Louis.

history

The New Masonic Temple at 3681 Lindell Boulevard opened in October 1926. The classicist skyscraper in the original shape of two stacked temples cost four million dollars and was intended to serve as a meeting place for the approximately 25,000 Freemasons in the Saint Louis region. It also temporarily contained the premises of the Missouri Grand Lodge and the office of its Grand Master Harry S. Truman .
