The Planet Smashers is a third wave of Ska from Montreal , Quebec, Canada. Since its inception in 1994, it has been an integral part of the Montreal ska scene. During the third wave, the band quickly became known nationally and internationally, which is also reflected in the tours through the USA, Europe and Japan. The founding member Matt Collyer also founded the Montreal ska label Stomp Records.
The music of the Planet Smashers was used for the Japanese flash series Catman and for the MTV show Undergrads .
